I agree with Alaysha. I find that when the baby starts kicking at night I pat my belly (hard enough to make it giggle...lol) and that calms the baby right down....basicly the patting causes a rocking motion that puts the baby to sleep!

Babies move more at night because you are more relaxed. My babies were the same way. And no it doesn't mean that they will be awake more at night than during the day. Good luck to you!

Your baby is awake at night because during the day when you are walking and moving around it rocks the baby to sleep. If you are sitting on the couch or laying in bed you aren't rocking the baby and so yes they think it is play time. However, once baby is born it isn't hard to change their schedule. Just make sure you keep baby up longer during the day so she sleeps at night.

im happy to have come across this question as i had the same question inmy mind. a friend of mine told me to play with my belly alot during the day to try to wake up my lil girl so she'll be on a day schedule when she comes but that seems so mean to me!

My sister was worried about the same thing & her baby slept right on schedule most of the time. Hopefully our little night owls will sleep @ night.

Not always .. my last baby (just turned 2) slept right through the night after about 2 weeks of being home.  He was always awake at nights when I worked graveyard and asleep all day long. I was afraid he would be a night owl too lol but he wasn't.

Probably not. She's probably awake a lot during the day, she's just not as active or you're busy and don't notice. You feel her a lot at night because you're relaxed.
