Yeah im definitely aiming for NO epi. . I did it once and i hope to do it again(:
Hey everyone, sorry couldn't find the post! Thank you so much for the advice im gonna go for it!! First epidural only numbed half so I felt most they said and second they used too much, heartrate dropped too low, they got it back up, I couldn't move at all, got horrible pains in my neck from trying to push without being able to move and then they kept me an extra day because my bladder wasn't emptying bc the epidural didnt wear off right! Phew. So yea, I am pretty sure I can make it through it will most likely be easier in some ways! Thanks everyone :)
My first I had an epidural and it took twelve hours of labor to deliver. My second only took an hour from start to finish(water broke at home, made it to the hospital with about 10 mins to spare!) not gonna lie....it was the worst pain ever and they wouldn't give me anything...I begged. But I recovered much faster the second time and I prefer the entire experience over the first.
I love this, your ladies' posts totally made my mind up! Thanks for posting this candis
I had ny son 3wks ago and unfortunately by time I got to hospital I was already dialated to a 9 so I didn't have a choice....I was a ftm my opinion labor at hhome for as long as you can a bath or a shower is a great way to help also....when I got in I had somegas and jumped in the shower again in the birthing suite
I have such a low pain tolerance I was sure I would be a disaster but it's amazing what through human body can withstand. I pushed for 2 hours but the staff and my family were so supportive I got so lost in the moment.
Every woman has it in her....goodluck :)
Hey, I didn't have an epidural with my first child and will not choose to have one with this one. The meds they give through IV are helpful in taking some of the edge off prior to active labor, it was beneficial in allowing me to rest some before pushing, it does little for pressure of pushing. Your right epidurals can give you back pain or a headache, but worse it can slow labor down and you could lose so much feeling that you are unable to push. So yeah you definitely have options. I pushed for 30 mins with my IV meds, which is great timing
This is my first. And i plan on doing it natural. Well without the epidural lol didnt say i wasnt getting something threw my iv for a little edge off like u said. bUt! Ive read alot that epidurals can cause u back problems n the long run. And besides the fact women didnit for YEARS without an epidural! So y cant we now :)
I'd like to know too, so I'll bump your post up :) ftm but I'm stubborn and want to go as natural as I can
