no h/b

I can feel that big pit opening back up inside of me again, that big empty hole that opened up after my last m/c and closed after I got my latest BFP.  I really thought that with the Lovenox and Prometrium we had it in the bag this time. I do not understand how people like my ex-friend who smokes just to keep the baby small to avoid labor or pains get to have babies, and people like us who want them more than air can't, I am so angry, this hurts so bad.

Aside from my drama, there has been some progress.  Last Friday there was a small yolk sac, no fetal pole.  As of today there is a fetal pole, but no h/b.   I should be 6 weeks, 1 day.  I know there are women who havent seen it until 7 weeks, I know that.  But, I just feel that emptiness coming back.   I will have another ultrasound next Tuesday. Tell me how I am supposed to wait 7 days?

This is from Wikipedia.com

The fetal pole is a thickening on the margin of the yolk sac of a fetus during pregnancy. It is usually identified at 6.5 weeks with abdominal ultrasound imaging, and 6 weeks with vaginal ultrasound imaging. However it is quite normal for the fetal pole to not be visible until about 8 weeks. The fetal pole may be seen at 2-4 mm crown-rump length (CRL), and heart motion is often detected when it is seen. In the embryo, the heartbeat is seen as a regular flutter, which should be first evident at 5 mm CRL. If the embryo is less than 5 mm CRL, it is possible for it to be healthy without showing a heartbeat, though a follow up study in 5-7 days will almost always demonstrate the heartbeat.

Best of luck and I'm praying for you :)

I am glad to hear that there is progress. You are right a lot of women don't see a heartbeat on a u/s until 7 weeks. That also goes for the fact that they may have your dating wrong.  I will be keeping you and your family in my prayers and I am sure that everything is going to be okay and at your next appointment you will see your little ones heartbeat. Keep me posted.

You will make it through this!  7 days isn't that much longer in the scheme of things.  And remember that there was progress made which is a good sign.  At least when you went this time something changed and got better.  And you are absolutely correct...some women don't see anything till 7 weeks.  You are almost there.  Try and stay positive and when you get down just think about the baby and you need to stay strong.  I'm waiting with you...except I still have 10 days to go for my first ultrasound.  You can do it...I have faith in you!  Be strong and feel free  to vent anytime.  We can make it...I promise!
