no period 3 months after natural miscarriage and prometrium

I had a natural miscarriage back at the beginning of Oct. this was my second miscarriage so it was especially painful. On top of the miscarriages my husband and I also have difficulty conceiving because my left ovary is smaller than normal, and it took us over a year of trying each time we got pregnant.  right after my miscarriage i had heavy bleeding that did not stop for 6 weeks. my dr. prescribed me a medicine that is given to women after birth to stop bleeding. a week later it finally stopped, but when i went in to my dr. he found a mass in my cervix that resembled a sac. my dr. then ran blood tests to make sure my HCG levels were dropping. after about a week my levels finally went back to normal and a 2nd ultrasound showed the mass was no longer present. so i was told to give it about 6 weeks or so and i should see my period.  i just went back to my dr. 3 weeks ago with still no period. my dr. was concerned to he prescribed me prometrium to take for 6 days, saying that it should cause me to get my period about 3 days after i stopped taking it. well, it's been 2 weeks now and i still haven't gotten my period. i've had extreme cramping and adominal pain everyday since i had stopped the prometrium. Im starting to get worried and im wondering if anyone has ever experienced this or has any suggestions of what the problem could be?

Thank you sooo much for your concern!!! i am very worried and i do plan to call the dr. on Monday, or Tuesday if they aren't open. I was just hoping that maybe someone online would've been through this and had an idea just to calm my nerves and give me some peace of mind. I have had a D&C before but had no problems. maybe that could be what will have to happen. although my dr. said everything looked clear from the vaginal ultrasound. it's hard telling though. Thank you again for replying to my post!

Tabatha- definitely concerning! And I would definitely give the doctor a call again because something is going on. I am not a doctor so I can only take a guess but they might have to actually get in there (maybe vaginal sonogram first, maybe laproscopy, maybe even a D&C in case tissue is leftover causing infection which can lead to sepsis and is life-threatening). So I would call first thing Monday or Tuesday if they're closed on Monday due to the holiday. You definitely should be seen. *HUGS*
