If your family has a history of allergy (or the fathers side) it's best to avoid them, but if no one does go crazy.

OMG I was about to get scared there for a minute LOL bc I have been eating peanut butter and Jelly sandwiches and nuts since I first found out I was pregnant - I was never advised not to eat nuts.... I am sure its safe unless otherwise stated by your dr

I heard the same thing when I was pregnant for my son because all I wanted for 2 months was chocolate covered almond.. My OB said go ahead and eat as much as I want.. As petitewonder said, there's so much protein and Omega 3 fatty acids that are so good for a developing baby. :) Enjoy your nuts! hehe

There's that silly theory that certain foods ate during pregnancy can cause food allergies....but I ate peanuts of all sorts (especially boiled peanuts, yum!) during both of my previous pregnancies and neither of my kids have food allergies of any sort (well my son reacts a little to the acid in tomatoes and citric fruits but..clearly not peanuts, lol).

so eat away...like Petite said, they're GREAT for you!!!

nuts are good for you.. they are a good source of protein and omega 3 fatty acids.... i dont know why you wouldnt eat them..  I do remember reading somewhere that eating alot of nuts in your pregnancy can cause nut allergies but i dont know if this is true... it was on the internet.. I was never advised by my doctor to avoid them..

If its true though, my poor baby is screwed becasue I had peanut butter and almonds all through my pregnancy...   it was difficult to eat meat at times so having nuts helped me stick to a more holistic diet.
