LOL i know thats one of the things i'm afraid of. What are chux?
Go to the hospital when your water breaks, and carry some super size pads w/ you.
Also you can by chux at walmart they are back w/ the tampons I would buy a pack of those and keep them in your car. just incase , u dont want to ride to the hospital and leak all over your seats!!!
I know the ones they gave me in the hospital with my last sucked. I'm definately taking my own. SUPER Absorb.......lol
LOL oh yea i know my bosses would too LOL. As it is if they see me holding or rubbing my belly they are like "are you ok?" and they look so worried LOL. Well if the diaper company does have some of those and it doesnt look like i am buying something from the diaper company i might get that kind.....b/c after the birth I want a long pad so that i dont bleed all over my clothes and what not. its going to be hard getting used to wearing pads LOL....last time i wore one was when i had my daughter LOL and before that who knows how long LOL I supposed everything will feel like a diaper
You know all them men you work with are probably going to freak out more than ya'll would........lol. I'm one of two women in an business of 7 men. One being my husband and FIL....I know they would..lol
I think the adult diapers co. actually has one now that just looks like an oversized pad and it's thin but super absorbant. Can't even tell you're wearing it. Heck I think my MIL has some. I'll just snag one of hers. Ya never know....
I read an article the other day that said that most women's water will break while they are sleeping, or when they first get up!
LOL I know what you mean I work with all men so I hope mine doesn't break at work either.....LOL
LOL thanks everyone. i am hoping tha IF my water breaks that I will be home b/c i think i would be horribly embarassed if it breaks anywhere else.....especially at work LOL. We are getting new carpets in and ther would prolly be a hugh stain on it if it happened here LOL. Not to mention my bosses are men, how embarassing LOL i can see it now. I think i might by a thing od really absorbant pads and leave one at work just in case.....i'll need them after the baby anyway.....i refuse to buy myself a diaper LOL....i just cant bring myself to do it.
I'm glad to tell you I learned this last night in my birthing class....it depends on if it breaks from the bottom and if it does then it will be a big gush and be over with if it happens from the top of the sack then it will just trickle for a while the only thing to do to stay dry if it trickles it to wear a sanitary pad...but if you think or even suspect your water has broke go straight to the hospital b/c once the bag is broken then bacteria can get into your baby so they need to keep you in a sterile place and if you do not deliver in 12 hours then you will have to be put on antibiotics.
I've read that only about 20% of women's water actualy breaks on its own. One thing you can do is buy some overnight pads or even depends. I know that sounds silly, but it would work. Maybe atleast to get you to the hospital. I don't know if a tradditional pad would hold it. I've heard sometimes it trickles and some times it flows. But honestly I think the odds are low, but better safe than sorry.
Mine broke at home with my first one. I got out of bed to get a drink and there was a little gush. I was like omg I can't believe I just peed my pants. Went to the bathroom, changed clothes, and was going to go back to bed, before I got there, another gush. Then I knew what it was! Changed clothes again and used a overnight pad and that seemed to absorb the leakage that was coming out for about 45 minutes before I got my butt to the hospital. The doctor will want you to go to the hospital as soon as your water breaks, even if you aren't having contractions yet. They will have you walk or start pitocin because you have to deliver within so long of your water breaking!
Well you have no control over your water breaking. It will happen when it happens and there isn't really anything you can do to stop the flow. I would bring towels with you and keep them on hand. It doesn't always all come out at once. With me my water started leaking while I was taking a fianl in college and by the end of the day I was addmitted to the hospital and had my daughter the next morning. Good luck hun!
I've never had a kid so I don't know from experience but I would think change clothes, put on a pad, and head for home/hospital.
Now that I think of it, I have never talked to a women that had her water break while she was out about, have you? Always at home or something.........I did have a friend that was out for dinner and she started to leak and she went to the hospital.....
My water never broke on my own, due to I was induce. But I would think that if your water breaks while you were out, that you would want to get your butt home, I would think to change there.....Once your water breaks there would be a guss and then the rest would come out little by little, I would think. Most dr.'s say to wait for a little bit intill your contractions are closer, But HELL the min. mine breaks my *** is in the car to the hospital!!
