ot settling dd in school again

i know its of topic but i always got great advice here my daughter loved going to school but over christmas with the long break and then she was sick now she wont go back she cryes when i leave her and wont leave the teachers side all day what can i do to help her get back in to it

thanks for your reply i know she needs to go so it is what needs to be done i just have to do it in the most loving and care way i can she is 4 so it pre school she start primary school in september we start school at 4 here i think thats way to young and thats half the problem if i had a choice i would not send her to school for a few more years

It sounds awful, but you just have to give her a little tough love and the teacher does as well.  It will take a good month of consistency for her to get back into her routine.  Most important is that everyone tries to make it as routine as possible.  If she can't leave the teacher's side all day, then I would question the teacher as to what they are doing in the classroom that leaves your daughter so disengaged from learning activities and socialization with the other kids that there is an opportunity for her to be clingy for the teacher.  I don't know how old your daughter is but I am assuming that you are talking about actual school or pre-school and not a daycare.  School, even for very young children (pre k/ k) should be structured and have lots of child centered activities which engage them almost non-stop whether it is academic or social.  If your daughter is busy, she'll have no brain power or space left to devote to this behavior.  Sorry if this sounds tough or mean but I am a teacher and I have seen this exact behavior.  My schooling (Masters +) and experience tell me that this is what needs to be done although it might not be what you would want because it involves some tough love.
