pelvic pain

I'm 27 weeks and for the past few weeks I've had this pain in my pelvis it hurts to lift my leg to put them in pants to get dressed or to lay it over my body pillow at night. Now it hurts to walk almost bad enough I want to cry. My baby he is less active to though not sure if it's connected. To the pain....any ideas what it is and should I be worried

Your welcome! I'm ftm too, but I have my sister to ask. She's had three babies and she's a nurse. She's been my go-to person this whole time for weird/crazy questions. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!!

I'm having pain that sounds similar to that. I asked my sister and she said it's normal, just getting ready for the delivery. She said she had it too. The only time I feel pain though is when I lift my legs to shave, put on pants, or roll over in bed. Walking doesn't bother me. I've had this for about a month now and I still have 11 more weeks.

I decided to try the Internet and most people say it's just ligaments stretching, but also could be varicose veins or one person said something called symphisis pubis dysfunction or SPD for short. I'd mention it to your doctor, but it sounds like a lot of women just have the pain from the ligaments preparing for delivery. Some suggested having your partner lightly massage it. I'm lucky to talk my husband into rubbing my back, so I don't know if he'd go for a crotch massage unless he gets something out of it. Lol

Your doctor will be discussing with you soon about counting fetal movements. Mine told me 6-8 movements in an hour. He said do it once a day, preferably after 8 when you're laying down for bed. Or whenever your baby is most active.
