period during pregnancy?

Can you get you period during your first month of pregnancy? I think I did but it was lighter than normal and it didn't last as long as normal..

I had bleeding all throughout my last pregnancy the same time id have my period but each time id have to come in to see the doctor to make sure everything was ok.

You can't have an actual period, because a period is the uterus lining shedding to get rid of an unfertilized egg, if you're pregnant, then the egg is fertilized and if it sheds it's a miscarriage. But you can have pregnancy related bleeding and it can be around the time your period would occur, it's usually lighter or shorter than your normal flow, though.
