I have a vch piercing which I'm planning on taking out around 38 weeks.  my question is if anyone else has had one did it close up fast?  I wasnt planning on another baby when I got it. so idk if I should plan on even trying to put it back in after delivery or not?

I have a vch piercing also and had it when I had my 7 year old. The doctor took it out when I was in labor and then put it in a lil bag thing so I would have it when I went home. I took it home and was able to put it back in after a couple weeks of healing. I am hoping to do the same with this pregnancy.

I don't have that piercing, but I have a belly button one....well did, I've let it close up now, I took mine out for a few months when I was pregnant with my son four years ago and was able to put it back in after I had him. I used to have my tongue pierced as well and didn't wear it for almost four months and it went right back in. Not sure how the skin differes, but I'd think it wouldn't close that fast...

That's why I don't want to take it out until close to labor. I don't think it will close up real fast.  They use a hollow needle and remove everything where the piercing is so I'm not sure if it'll fully close at all. I think I'll take it out right before labor, and ask my fiance to stick the piercing through shortly after labor to make sure it stays open.

i'll have dh do it but I wonder what the best timing is and if it'll close up :(

I have the same piercing. I don't plan on taking mine out until I'm about to go in later. Lol I'll probably get my fiance to take it out for me.
