pink evap. line on HPT???!!!????

Question

I have taken many pregnancy tests in the last 4 months and they were all negatives. I always went back to look at the stick later and they were still neg. Well I am on CD25 today and took a HPT from the dollar tree. I took the test and after about 1 minute saw the control line show...but nothing in the T so figured I wasn't pregnant. Threw the test in the trash. This was 5 in the morning. Well...about 3 hrs or so later I pulled the test out again. There is a very faint pink line. I heard evap lines are gray. Has anyone had a pink evap line? I am not even sure if the line appeared within the time frame or not. Last time I took a dollar tree test it was neg and stayed neg. Please shed some light to it.

smjmekg- I am on CD 26 today and my cycle length usually varies from 25-30....but my BBT today dropped from 98.50 to 98.17......so I think AF is about to arrive...I am still hopeful and your experience with HPT at the time of your son is allowing me to stay positive...thanks hun...

SilverCheer- that is funny...you actually were listening to your heartbeat and thinking to be your baby's!....am glad that you now heard the real one....well my temperature dropped from 98.5 to 98.17 today....so am not any more elated...just waiting to see what's in store for me...thanks for the support

I think if your temps coincide with the hpt that is a good sign too! Definitely keep us posted! I am doing great finally able to hear the babies heartbeat after listening to what I think was probably mine!

I'm in no way trying to give you false hope. With my son, I took a First Response 5 days before AF was due and threw it away after three minutes. The next day I took another and it was faintly positive, after three minutes, I had to look really close to see the line. I took the one from the day before out of the trash and it barely had a line. I had a blood test a few days later, and it was positive. So it could go either way...when is AF due for you? I'd wait a day or two and take another.

Thanks dear...I can understand with kids around its impossible to do the typing and stuff....my son is always climbing on me when I am in front of the laptop...:D...yes its true that CD25 is very early...just the high temperatures tempted me to test today...will give it a couple of more days before testing again, if of course the witch doesn't arrive..lol....thanks again for all the info....it really helped to ease my mind...will let you know after I test again or if AF arrives....tell about yourself....are you TTC too?

Jumia Sorry I meant to put more but got side tracted by the kids! I was going to tell you about the web site I was telling you about. It shows differnet tests at different days past O. And how that test was read to late you are still to early to test! The baby might not even have implanted yet. I would test on the day of yoru missed period. Although lots tests sooner but if you do not get a + and feel you are do not get discouraged. Lots of tests do not show up till then.  CD 25 I think is to early to get a + on a dollar store test because of the high HCG it needs. I will cross my finger that you are and of course jion the POSA hehehe Iknow it is hard not to test just do not get discouraged so early in the game! You are still in your TWW. Best of luck and I read my post and thought how could I have missed the rest I was going to say but again I am sorry! It is easy to get a fasle negative then it is a false positive.

SilverCheer- thanks dear for the hope...I plan not to test before day after tomorrow, if of course AF doesn't arrive. How are you doing? I see you got busy these days with the doppler...must be wonderful listening to those heartbeats...isn't it!!! have a healthy and happy 9 months!

I have had colored evap lines before but its not common especially with the pink dye. so it could go either way! Def test again in the morning and let us know!

The dollar test need 100 of HCG to detect. And if you go to pee on a stick . com, without the spaces of course it shows you that lots of dollar store test ahve pink lines. The blue line test do not do that as much

thanks hun...oh I was so sleepy I couldn't stand long....I will test again day after tomorrow if AF doesn't arrive by then....the line is so faint thatyou have to drill your eyes into it to see it....I am just waiting for DH to return home to show him the test and ask him what color does he think it is.....hope he sees it...lol!

good luck. I would test with FMU and check the test within 5 minutes!! I dont know how you did it, but I would have been staring at that test for the full 5 minutes, lol:-)

thanks dear for your reply....I was thinking of waiting a couple of days to test again....but may be i will test tomorrow morning again...I have a FRER but dont want to waste it over negative result....I will try hard to skip tomorrow and test the day after....keep me in your prayers

If it wasn't read within the time limits of the test, the line could easily be an evap line. I would suggest testing again, maybe with a more sensitive test and using first morning urine. Good luck!
