positive hpts and negative hpts...im going insane!!!
Okay heres the thing...I had my last full period on May22nd - May 27th. I didnt get ANYTHING in June, no cramping no bleeding but PLENTY symptoms of pregnancy. I already had a child in 2004 which was difficult. I didnt find out til i was 3 mths b/c i had bled like a period for the first month. But when i went in to my obgyn they did an ultrasound and i found out i had a cyst on my ovary and it was large. I ended up having to have a surgery to remove the cyst at 5mths pregnant. The cyst was over a pound and they saved my ovary but took a piece of my fallopian tube off. But my daughter is 4yrs old now and healthy as could be!!! BUT anyways...like i said it was a rough pregnancy. My fiance and I havent been really trying for another child but we werent preventing it. Well....when i didnt get my period by July 1st, i bought some hpts, it was the Walgreens brand. 2 came up FAINT positives and 3 negatives. I wasnt pleased with all this so i went get some digitals and first responses(the +- ones)...well, the digital came out negative but one of the first responses came up sooo faint i had to hold it up to the light. I still wasnt very convinced about the results...so i scheduled my appt at the health unit for a test there(they dont do blood tests there!!! UGH) and its not until tomorrow at 8:30 am. Well, this past saturday i bought some tests from the dollar store b/c i heard they were good...and not expensive...only 1 dollar...lol! Well, i took one as soon as i got home and it came up with a pretty bright line, then the next with morning urine and it was sooo faint...then another one yesterday afternoon and faint again then i took one this morning when i woke up and it was nothing...And by the way, i did bleed on the 7th and 8th of July but stopped and then had the brownish/pinkish spotting which went away after 1 day. I am sooo confused right now and making myself crazy! Im so worried that when i go to the health unit tomorrow to take a urine test its going to come up negative and i'll still get weird results at home. I cannot afford 5-800 dollars to go to my normal obgyn to get tested. What do i do?? I dont think they have another place where i can get a blood test done without paying a crazy amount. Ive been sooo down these past 2 days!! Any help or someone who had the same experience would be grateful!!!
Per your questions about the ultrasound- everything they did was standard. The belly sonogram they aren't going to do near your belly button because your uterus is tucked under the pubic bone. And they're not allowed to give you results- only your doctor can do that.
Cysts can definitely cause symptoms and give false positives on pregnancy tests. They can also make you anovulatory so I think your next step should be to find out if you're even ovulating.

well i got the results in...i am not pregnant and they said i have ovarian cysts AGAIN!!!! They said it wasnt big enough to do a surgery and hopefully it will shrink. So im guessing the cyst is whats causing the missed period but what caused the positive pregnancy test results?? UGH!!!! I broke down today after getting the news but im doing okay now.Starting today is the fertile days so its time to start trying for baby #2!
i had an ultra sound yesterday and it was realy low,right at the hair line,very embarresing but has to be done lol
Today i went to have an ultrasound done. Still no period tho and 2 days ago my lower back and hips were hurting today...just another symptom happening...lol!!!! When i got the ultrasound done, they wouldnt tell me anything...they did it vaginally and over the belly and she said she couldnt give me any news on if i was was pregnant or had something wrong with me. I looked at the screen for the belly one but she moved it for the vaginal. Can they find the baby if they do the exam REALLY low??? she was like right above my hairline but didnt go on my actual belly...then for the vaginal, she didnt put it in far enough like they did with my first child. I was wondering if they can tell or not if they did it low? And when i kept asking if they saw a baby or something they told me "we cant tell you anything b/c your doctor is going to call you with the results of the test...WTF??? like they couldnt just say we saw a baby or we didnt see a baby. Where do they do the ultrasound normally? Do they do them that low??? Sorry for all the questions but im so confused and its been way over a month that i havent gotten answers!!!!
Well...i had my doctors appt. on Tuesday and she did a pelvic exam and stuff like that and she said every test was negative so thats good that i dont have an infection or something worse. So today shes calling me for an ultrasound to be scheduled to get a much better look. But i was wondering why is my period 2 days late again this month?? I did bleed on July 7th but i dont count that b/c that wasnt even a full period. This is making me crazy. If im not pregnant, well okay, ill just try again but damn...this **** going on and on saying well...maybe is killing me!!!!! I hate not knowing whats going on. And plus, i do have cramps but no bleeding yet...UGH!!!! just had to vent a little bit!!!
Im sure everything will work out. Maybe it is a Cyst, but i hear they are very common, everyone gets them time to time, and some resolve them selfs. Then when u get that squared away you can try again. But don't expect any clarity on the chemical preg, you prb were preg like me and bleed for two days like me but this happ in june to me right in the begining of my honeymoon, im glad at the time i didnt know what it was cause it would have upset me im sure. So when i got home i got the pos test and was excited and then followed up w the Dr and they said it was Neg, cause i prob bleed in Aruba and MC and had a Chemical preg. My amazing fiance stayed home from work today b/c i was so upset last night. I woke up with horrible bags under my eyes and headache still!!! I called the womens clinic like they wanted me to and it wouldnt be until October that i can get it. I am not waiting this like if i dont have to so im going to a doctor in town that goes by income so, they are going to see my on tuesday morning and then they will refer me to the womens clinic since they can take you asap if you have a referral. The ER doctor didnt give a **** about the pain in my lower stomach im in...i mean i have a history of big cysts so i should have had all this **** done yesterday!!! UGH!!! Anyways, just thought i would let you know whats going on and i will write back on tuesday to tell you what they said!
Yeah the Sono will not be able to tell if you had a Chemical Preg, that is why they call them chemical, because it can not be detected clinicly only chemicaly thru urin or blood. So don't expect them to confirm that. Even my Dr couldn't confirm it, but it is highly unlikley to get a pos preg test they are almost alway right. Sorry hun, just make sure there are no other issues and try again! Good luck!!!
he told me it was possible to have had a miscarriage very early...so yea, he didnt give me **** for information but i dont even care...when i go to the doctor for the US i will find out 100% whats going on. But who knows how long it'll be before i get the appt b/c this stupid hospital is so damn slow on appts like a 2mth wait! Im hoping for the best still!!!!
also tell your dr about the spotting the two days in July, it sounds to me like a chemical preg
the only thing to me that would explain a pos preg read and then a neg would be a chemical preg, just ask and see what they say. Unless the test u took were just wacky. But most of the time when people say false alarm the test was wrong that is not the case it is a early Mc called a Chemical preg which there are thousands of. Google it. But it is picked up more like a period rather then a mc, i just spotted for two days brownish. Good luck again and let me know what the dr says. Just be strong so you can try again, get some ovulation test and be ready.
they didnt mention anything about a poss chemical preg, im not sure but i thought when you are not preg the levels are at 0, unless they are just low like a 4. I wonder if it was decline in numbers. you should ask them for the heck of it if that is poss.
i did go to the health unit appt and the urine test was negative. So they sent me to the er and i did some bloodwork there and still....negative. HCG was at 4...i dont know what that is supposed to mean but whatever.They told me to schedule an appt for an ultrasound to see why i am having pains in my lower stomach since i have a history of cysts.I'll keep you posted about the next apt. Im so heartbroken i cant bare to look at babies right now!!! Now i need to calm down and stop crying!
I hope you are def not MC, i only tell people that bc i didn't even know i mc untill 3 weeks after it actually happ, since the preg was so early, mild cramping, nothing major, all dep how preg you are. i just thought it was my AF. GOOD LUCK Please let me know how u make out!!! :-)
You know... hormones have a tendency to go up and down, with us as females, obviously, and even babies' hormones can go up and down. i would suggest just wait another week and take another test. until then, live like you are pregnant and take care. And good luck!!
I was on birth control but i stopped taking it like 5 months ago. I could never remember to take the damn things so i just stopped.I had regular periods before i was on them, during and also after. Plus with my first child, i was on bc when i conceived her. So i dont think it matters since it was so long ago.I did bleed on those days but it wasnt very heavy. I did have cramping tho but i was told this was very normal. It turned brownish pink after the second day. So it wasnt long and not heavy. Honestly, i dont think its a miscarriage. Im not ruling it out tho. I just cant stand this waiting and tomorrow will be a HUGE disappointment if i get a BFN!!! It'll just kill me!!!! Ill be sure to let yall know what goes on tomorrow...hopefully its good news!!! **BabyDust to me!!** and to anyone else ttc!!!
Your bleeding on the 7 and 8th could def have been a chemical preg like with me. Did you ever experience any sort of water gushing feeling? I felt that and thought i was peeing my self and now looking back i think it was part of the MC. But no blood.Good luck again.
Hey, i had this happ to me, it was a chemical preg, im not sure if this is what is happ to you, but i was off my pill for about a month but im sure it was still in my system and when i was on that pill i never got a period so i had to take early preg test, i took the dig, and it said PREGNANT. i went to the Dr a week later and they did a blood test and said i was not preg anymore but because the over the counter test are so sensative it picks it up and the blood didn't because i early mc, they say when you are preg like a week or so, or the embryo cant implant itself for what ever reason, sometimes the home test picks it up even though you are not preg any more. I believe i was like a week preg. I bleed brownish color for two days barely. And i took the preg test 17days later and it came up pos, so i assumed the bleeding was implantation, but the dr said it was most likely the MC. And since all test have diff sensativities that may be y you are getting diff reads. keep taking the test try the ones where there are no lines, just a yes or no and try them in the morning. This is why it ***** to take test too early, which im not sure if you really did. But in some cases you get all excited but then find out it is over before it starts, im not sure if any of this applies to you, but it is something to think about. Where you on any BC before hand? Do some reasearch on Chemical Preg. Good luck and let me know what happ.

Let me know what they say! I would be going crazy too if I were in your shoes. I would just want a straight forward answer. hang in there. Hopefully they will figure out what is going on.
o yea, my cycles are NEVER EVER late!!! Its like clockwork...on the 22nd or 23rd that i start...never later so i doubt it was a crazy cycle
Im going to my family doctor if the test comes out negative tomorrow since they dont do blood tests there. He charges like $115.00 for the test and visit so thats not too bad. I guess we'll see what they say tomorrow. I'll ask tomorrow if i can go to the ER that we have in town for low income (since im not working and wont make fiance pay) and see if they can do an ultrasound and bloodtest done. I think i have to have a referral tho and im sure i can get one from the HU tomorrow. Thanks alot and im hoping for good news tomorrow!!!
I wonder if you just had a crazy cycle.....maybe the 7th and 8th could have been a period if you did bleed. But that doesn't explain some of the positives and negatives you have been getting. Your hormones can effect it if something is going on, but only your doc will be able to tell you that. Couldn't your normal doc do a blood test for you? Mine does them and doesn't charge anymore than like 100 dollars and I don't have insurance. With this pregnancy I went to a women's and birthing center (they are very cheap) and it only cost about 25 dollars to have a blood test done. I would look around in your area and see what you can find. I hope you get some answers soon!!
