hi i am not trying to scare u but i have read on this forum that if u first test positive then negative it may be ectopic pregnancy.. so please have it checked. best of luck and hope everything is fine...
I had the same thing with the brown spotting. It lasted from weeks 5-10. It started the day after I tested. It did get a bit pink and then a really dark brown before it stopped. Some days it was barely there and some days it was almost heavy. Unfortunately, if you call the doctor they are going to tell you that it can either be very normal or be a sign of miscarriage and there is nothing they can do. Sometimes they will let you come in and they will check your cervix for bleeding. Most of the time they wont though until you hit 8-10 weeks. The only thing the er is going to do is give you your first hcg test and possibly do an ultrasound that is going to scare the heck out of you because at this point you wont be able to see anything. I would call the doctor, tell him what is going on and he will order your hcg tests and schedule an ultrasound for week 7. (if you go before week 7 there will not be a heartbeat and you will just leave scared and upset with no answers) The spotting will be worse after sex or any kind of internal exam. Your cervix is swollen and thin and the veins can be torn very easily. this is not a problem! This is the point in a pregnancy where everything that happens is very worrysome to you and will leave you with a sense of frustration with your doctor. Even after you get good results, you will be worried again with in hours. This feeling does go away a bit after you feel the baby move. By the way everything turned out fine for me despite the spotting. Good Luck!
Congrats on your +, first of all. Secondly, I cramped for about a month in the beginning of my pregnancy. It's just your uterus getting used to something being in there and stretching. As for the spotting, if I were you, I would say something to your OB if you haven't already BUT brown spotting IS perfectly normal in pregnancy. Brown blood is old blood. If you start spotting pink or red, call your OB or go to the ER right away. Cpngrats & good luck.
