It doesn't  Work. My son was never lower than 160

My son's stayed around 135-140, and this time I have a girl, and hers is always between 145-155. For me at least, the old wives' tale is true.

My son's heart rate has always been between 155-170, so the old wives tale was wrong for us! =)

They do they girls are higher than boys. With my son it was 140 - 150 bmp. And with this one its 170 - 190 bpm very high, but I don't no the gender yet . But who knows maybe its true or maybe its an old wives tale , the only way to really tell is through an ultrasound.

Its an old wives tales but they do say that higher heart rates indicate a girl, my little one is always around 150-159 and its a girl. Only way to tell tho is an ultrasound.

According to the myth, anything over 140 BPM is supposed to predict a girl, since females tend to have a faster resting heart rate. But it's not considered a reliable indicator of gender, since heart rates vary depending on what the baby is doing and how it feels. On average, fetal heart rates of both genders are lower in the the first trimester and average 120-160 BPM after that.

Its on old wives tales that u can predict gender by heartrate.  The only way to do that is via ultrasound.  Good luck.
