pressure points during massage?

So my 'pregnancy bible'- What to Expect When You're Expecting, says to be careful when massaging ankles. Online it also talks about the wrists, area between thumb & pointer finger and lower back.
Well today i was lightly massaging wrists because they hurt after a long at office on keyboard. Any my hubby also rubs my lower back for me. Had an injury before i was preggo and sometimes it just needs a little massage.
My question is am i doing/did harm? What exactly do they mean by applying pressure/ stimulating these points? Thank you :)

I also am a ftm. I only know that bc I'm going to beauty school and we are told when doing a Mani pedi not to massage bc of that..and that we should always ask if they are or could be pregnant. But also my cousin read it in her pregnancy book.
