previous scheduled c section mommies

I'm scheduled to have my daughter Monday at 12:00 (my birthday :D) I've had two previous c sections but I had my boys early so I never made it to my scheduled date. I was wondering if the doctor is going to give me instructions at my last appointment late this afternoon? Like don't eat or drink after mid night or be at the hospital at a certain time etc etc. And how did you ladies prepare before going to the hospital??

The hospital told me to not shave so I listened lol I was going too but they explained to me why not too. I wouldn't risk it even if you think you won't cut yourself. Every doctor is different though !

Mine was the same as love35888. Don't eat after 12am and be at the hospital by 5am got ready for the c section at 7 and my little girl at 731am I shaved though no one told me not to. And they will shave you for the c section anyways.

Do not shave! The doctor will most likely tell you this because if you even get the slightest nic it can cause infection. With my scheduled csection I had to be at the hospital at midnight and was scheduled at 6am , couldn't eat after midnight. If you plan on shaving thigh shave a few days before that way if you cut yourself without noticing it will be healed

Thank you very much love35888. Boo on the whole no eating thing I'm a late eater so I usually eat around 10 lol. I'm already registered at the hospital (had to make a l&d trip a few months back). I doubt I'll get any sleep Sunday night but I'll attempt it lol. Thank you for the bday wishes also: )

The first time was fine the nurses and doctor were very nice and explained EVERYTHING calmly. Recovery was horribly painful though!!!! The second time for some reason I was terrified and ended up freaking myself out to the point of getting sick but recovery was so much easier I was actually up and moving as soon as they removed the catheter. Just keep calm don't freak out lol listen to music or anything else to keep your mind calm  Its a pretty quick process all you gotta do is lay there and wait to meet your bundle of joy:)

They should. I had to register at the hospital the day before my c section.  Not eat after 10pm the night before.  My c section was scheduled at 7a. But I had to be at the hospital at 5am. Honestly I didn't sleep at all the night before. I did shower and just lay in bed with my husband til it was time.
Good luck:)

I definitely plan on showering and shaving!!! Since I randomly went into labor with my boys I hadn't shaved and the nurses were not very gentle lol

I'm not sure but I would say so. If she doesn't I would ask. As for you I would make sure to shower, shave and whatever else you think to do. That way you feel clean going in and after the c-section. :)
