quitting smoking at 26 weeks

I'm 26 weeks pregnant and only smoke 1 or 2 cigarettes a day is it ok to just quit cold turkey? I have cut back a lot since I found out I was pregnant. I just feel like I don't have a craving for one anymore.

Thanks y'all. I have noticed I only really smoke when I go out with my husband. We like to play pool so we go out on the weekends and play with our friends. I am nervous about quitting because I heard that if you quit cold turkey it can put the baby in shock and it's amazing I'm even pregnant and I don't want to do anything to loose him. But I'm staying positive about everything and at my last appointment the doctor said everything was perfect so I think I will be ok. I have gone days without a cig before. I just wanted to get some other peoples opinions.
Thanks so much your answers were very helpful.

I noticed I was smoking more when I was having my 1st so I tried to quit but it was hard so I stopped completely it was hard but it also worked I was 8 months when I done this. It been 13 months since I last had a fat as I started again after my daughter was born. N so far I'm doing well. Talk to your doctor or midwife see what they say they can prob help you to stop to. Good luck

Seeing that you only smoke 1 or two a day, cold turkey shouldn't be a problem seeing that your body isn't getting much nicotine to begin with. Now if you were a half a pack, or pack a day- there would probably be a problem if you quit cold turkey. I was a half pack a day with my first baby and I was a pack a day with my second. Unfortunately I wasn't strong enough to stay quit and smoked through both of my pregnancies. I'm still a pack a day and hopefully I will be able to ween myself enough to quit or at least cut back as much as I possibly can. I really don't like smoking while pregnant.
