thanks! i suppose i will just have to wait till next week to figure out my next step..and i will probably come on here to ask advice :)
Actually it's very common for a first pregnancy. My Dr. told me 60% of all first pregnancies end as a non viable pregnancy. The good news is, you know you can get pregnant and I've read that it's sometimes easier after a chemical pregnancy and your uterus is even more prepared which helps the next pregnancy implant nice and strong. Best wishes. Hang in there. I know it's not easy, but it will all happen for you if not this time. :o)
Yes. There's a type of miscarriage called missed miscarriage where the baby dies, but your body doesn't realize it, so you don't pass the remains. It just stays there.
thanks girls. Is it normal to have a non viable pregnancy even if i havent had any bleeding and only mild cramping?
This happened to me, I went to for an u/s to date my pregnancy and I would have been about 9-10 weeks pregnant and the doctor said my sac was measuring about 6 weeks and that they could not see an embryo yet, about a week later I started to spot and went to see my doctor who sent me for an ultrasound (they did a vaginal one this time) and it turned out there was no baby at all it was a non viable pregnancy....
even an abdominal u/s should be able to pick up an embryo at 9 weeks, I really hope that this is not the case for you though, I wish you good luck and hope you have a healthy baby.
If you are 8 or 9 weeks it doesn't sound good. However it is possible that you conceived later than you thought and are only 6 weeks.
