How are you doing? If I don't get a reply I'm going to assume you're at the hospital!!!

When your water breaks is when you shouldn't have sex. It is perfectly fine to try right now! That cramping is a GOOD sign. To keep that cramping up, go on a walk (up and down stairs),  bounce on an exercise ball, try sex, etc.

I had my membranes swept with each of my daughters and I had them within 24 hours because I tried to keep that crampiness. It gradually kept getting more and more unbearable and then I realized... "I'm in labor!"

The sex part was hard. We didn't do much because I was so crampy but I think the trying part helped because of the physical exertion, not because of semen (because there wasn't any- but if your husband is able to "relief himself" sperm helps soften the cervix more!).

Wow, I got a little TMI there but I hope it helps!
