sex and blood

This may be a bit TMI, but I am a bit worried as to why any time my fiance and I have sex, or even me just getting turned on makes me spot blood. It is similar to the spotting I had before, being a rusty ish color. It's not heavy bleeding, is only light. Is this ok? Should I go to the doctors for this? I don't want to do anything that could cause harm. It's happened twice and now I'm just staying away from doing anything sexual for now.

In the first trimester if you have bleeding after sex they advise to obstane from sex during that trimester especially if it's happened more than once. It's probably nothing bad but scary for anyone to spot during pregnancy. Do inform your OB

I agree w/ alaysha.  I would inform your doctor.  May be nothing at all but maybe not.  You never know.  It def can be normal to spot after sex or an internal exam but I can say that out of 6 healthy pregnancies, this only happened to me once.  It was w/ #4 and I was about 34 weeks.  I did bleed some several hours after we had had intercourse.  But I was much further along.  But I was a bit scared since it had never happened before and it hasn't happened since.  It was nothing but I would still maybe refrain from having sex and at least give your doc a call.

It common to spot after sex or an internal exam during pregnancy because of the increased blood flow to our cervix's. However, you need to inform your doctors that way they can make sure it isn't any other type of problem. Also, if you spot during pregnancy during/after sex they usually advise to wait 2-3 weeks before having intercourse again.
