she might be pregnant but im not sure

alright my girlfriend went to the health department to get a refill on her birth control. when she went she was given a pregnancy test and they told her she wasnt pregnant and gave her a year supply. then 2 weeks later we get a letter saying that she was pregnant and they sent us a medicade card... so two days ago i got her a hpt just to be sure because none of this made sence to me. and it came back negative which was a relief but now this morning she woke up around 5 am and threw up 3 times. so now im really concerned... can someone please help me?

I went to the health dept when I found out I was pregnant. Women who are getting birth control from the health department are given a pregnancy test when they go in to get more pills. In my state, it's common practice. Anyways, they filled out a paper confirming my pregnancy and gave me a pink paper that was to serve as my temporary medicare card. I sent all of my information into the DHS office and my card was sent out in less than a month. While some of this story sounds wonky, some of it doesn't. But definitely, if she was pregnant, it would show up on a hpt by now if she's having morning sickness. I would definitely have her see a doctor to make sure she's not pregnant.

correction the letter said planned parenthood and that she was pregnant. With a medicaid card in it. It wasnt till this morning i really gave it any thought because the hpt came up negative but with her vomiting early this morning its worrying me now. I looked it up and read that morning sickness dosent come around till 4 to 8 weeks of being pregnant so i figured a hpt would have been able to tell me if she was or not. Ill have to get her a doctors appointment to make sure

Yeah I have to say something doesnt sound right. If they give you a pregnancy test it takes 5 min to find out so something is fishy abour this. And medical coupon you have to fill out this paper and it takes a while before yoy get it

I'd ask her to get blood work done somewhere else. It seems very strange to receive everything through the mail like that. Especially if she was told she wasn't pregnant.

correction the letter said planned parenthood and told her she was pregnant and had a medicaid card in it. If it werewnt for her vomiting this morning i wouldnt have given it this much thought. But ive read it takes like 4 to 8 weeks of pregnancy for morning sickness to set in

It doesn't make sense. As others have said, Medicaid isn't given through the mail. It's a very long annoying process to get it, and usually takes a month to process. Did you see the letter that had this insurance card in it, or did she say that she got it? Honestly, nothing sounds right.

no i was not with her she went with her mother. And i know its strange none of it makes sense to me either thats why im stressed out of my mind right now and have no idea what to do. Other than test and test again... The health department wouldnt give her another years supply of bc if she was pregnant right? That and she has perscriptions that she cant take while pregnant they would have told her not to take them as well right?

also, i have never heard of having to take a pregnancy test to get your birth control refilled....you have to have a pap smear once a year to be issued birth control.  if she was pregnant the doctor would be able to tell usually with the  pap smear.

they sent her a letter telling her she was pregnant with a medicaid card? that does not make any sense!  first off, you are not told you are pregnant through the mail.  and you have to SIGN UP for a medicaid card and will be issued ONLY after you have provided a written statement from a doctor saying you are pregnant and when you are due.

Though throwing up is fairly common in PG but it can be related with several other things ,best is to get her beta hcg blood test done.It will give clear picture .You must ask ur health dptt also how can they be so irresponsibe in medical field.

She should go to the ER and get bloodwork done to see if she is pregnant or not. Sometimes just 'thinking' you are pregnant can bring up pregnancy symptoms...
