well-said! some of the recalls do represent genuine over-the-top safety risks...but some of them only are risky if you don't use common sense.
anyway. yeah...sleep positioners. still sticking with mine lol.
Lol, thanks, I didn't read too much into it, just saw a very short article about it without many details!
Alright, so I'm not condoning using any sort of product that has been recalled, but you really do have to look at the reason for the recall. A lot of the injuries/fatalities were due to parent neglect or using the product inappropriately rather than the actual product itself. Bumbo seats were recalled a few months ago, and it turns out that the "repair kit" was a sticker that said "do not leave your child unattended on elevated surfaces".....Really?! And the Graco stroller recall that just came out, while scary that the babies can get their heads caught and suffocate, ONLY happens when they're not strapped in! Why would you have a baby in a stroller not strapped in? I'd be more worried about them falling out!
Sorry, just a vent!
Awwww that's too bad I loved that thing for my first two babies......and I was looking forward to using one with this one....
they are saying they're dangerous, yes...but the "fatality rate" is 13 babies in TWELVE YEARS....so I'm sticking with mine. I loved using it with my daughter, it gave me peace of mind, and I use the same one with my son....and I don't think I'll be stopping. to be honest, 13 babies in 12 years while tragic is not exactly a stunning number to shock me away from using them :)
I heard that back in like June. I guess they've had some fatalities.... I'm not 100% I wasn't paying much attention. :( sorry!
