pink and brown usually aren't bad (but can be).  She should call her dr and inform them what's going on, if it continues she may need an exam and ultrasound to make sure everything is ok.

Also, I know it's rare, but if she has RH negative blood, she may need a rogham (sp) shot with in 72 hours of when it started.  I had brown spotting at 11 weeks, and ended up with a missed miscarriage, had to have the shot.  I read so many stories of women who bleed and didn't miscarry, so you really can't know what's going on until you at least talk to the dr.

If the pink turns to red, or she has any cramping with it she should see her dr.  If she can't get in quickly and bleeding gets bad/bad cramps she should go to the hospital.

Try to relax (I know it's hard, I've been there), but just hope for the best.

Bleeding is very common in early pregnancy.not nessasarily a mc.so dont panic.if she has cramping or anything along with it.then she may want to contact her doctor.but please dont panic.just make a phone call to her doc,im sure she is fine.

did you have an ultrasound yet? bleeding can be so many things, but can also be a sign of a miscarriage.  if you have seen the baby with a strong heartbeat already than chances are certainly lower of a miscarriage.
