smoking.

Any tips on quiting smoking? I am 9 weeks 4 days and I am having a hard time with quitting. I have definitely slowed down but haven't 100% quit. My husband smokes as well, and I am have asked him to stop smoking at least around me to see if that helps, and so far he hasn't tried to stop.. any suggestions?

I quit very easily in my first trimester. I've smoked for years but for some reason my body doesn't get addicted. Also cigs started tasting gross and making me sick so maybe that helped too.. lol goodluck

I'm 16 weeks 4 days and stuck with 2-3 a day!! I always said I would quit cold turkey. I'm giving myself until I feel my baby move I've talked to my Dr she isn't worried due to me cutting out 10 cigs already. But if I don't quit once this baby moves I'm gonna talk to my Dr and be like look! Help!! I wanna quit but its just a few puffs here and there that are so hard to give up!!

Go cold turkey and when u cant take it any more puff on the e-cig. That how i quit. But my partner didnt smoke. So u need extra will power to quit since ur partner smokes. Specially with ur super sensitive nose. And cutting back is a good start. Good luck.

I've actually, got some hard candies and ebeytime I wanted one I would put a price in my mouth. It worked for me. I'm 11 weeks and I just quit last week. Its hard. But now that I haven't had one the smell bothers me. But I almost crack yesterday and had one. But I thought of my child and just took deep breaths and took a walk. It is hard. But I know you can do it(:

Still doesnt give you the right to smoke. Think of the health of your unborn. Smoking causes preterm labor & premature birth. Thats not good. Think on it.

I did it... you have to have the will... do it for the baby... do it cold turkey it's not that hard when u have ur mind set to your not doing it again no matter what it can be difficult and u will still have urges but just don't give in

My boyfriend didnt stop smoking around me until I was 10 weeks. And it took the ob to tell him how awful it was for the baby. Maybe you guys just need to try something new.. A e-cig or have him smoke outside? My boyfriend always smoked inside and now he never smokes inside. It took a while so no worries.

Quitting smoking is a pain! I've managed to cut back but I'm stuck with two a day. Can't quite break the cycle yet and I've only got ten weeks left. I've tried everything and the only thing that helps is not having anyone around that smokes or has smokes. Its almost impossible to quit. A lot of docs tho allow two a day because the baby is already addicted. It's hard for us to quit cold turkey and its tough on the baby to. Just talk to your doc about it.

Try the vapor cigarette. That's what I'm using I'm 7 weeks an 2 days. Works wonders. Definitely if your going through a detox like me.
