I take norco for pain I'm prescribed it during this pregnancy. .. If you want to stop I always tell my self would I give my baby hydrocodone... no I wouldn't so you just have to ask your self if your baby were born right now would you let him or her smoke.  No you wouldn't so just stop that's what I had to do even thought I'm in so much pain.  It gets better!!

I quit smoking cold turkey.  Yes there are times when I get a craving for one but I don't give in.  It's been 3 months. I stress too but I prefer my baby to be healthy. I'm sorry but that just seems so selfish. You know it isn't good for your child so why do it?  There are other ways to vent out stress. I'm just saying..

I smoke one every now and then. My midwives said to cut back a lot but quitting all together could stress the baby out. I can make a pack of cigarettes last me for about two weeks. I have one of those vapor pens but I'm scared to death to use it cause it apparently makes people sick. People are going to judge you on everything you do pregnant or not. I had a woman on another app tell me I was pretty much a horrible parent since I didn't quit all the way. I smoked with my first pregnancy and he's four years old and in perfect health and my daughter is the same way. Matter of fact she's measuring two weeks ahead of whats she suppose to be.

I hope your babies are okay. I was 3pounds, my mother smoked and did drugs. I was in the hospital for months, not to mention I was 3 months early. I barely lived

I'm 7 weeks and finding it really hard to quit. I'm trying to cut back as much as possible until my first appointment and I want to stop completely after that. I just think it's gonna be hard. Anyone know if the ecigs really help? I've never tried them. Are they bad for my baby? Good luck new mommies!!

I had quit smoking when I found out at 8 weeks and I had one cigarette at 10 weeks and one around 19 weeks , I was craving one sooo badly but after the one I was done I don't crave any , anymore so it really helped me with that and my baby they say is perfect so far , and I am now 27 weeks plus 5.

Your doctor won't give you anything to help because it can harm the baby. But I'm a smoker. I have smoked with both my pregnancys sadly to admit. It is hard and I have gone days, weeks without it and always end up doing it again. Just keep trying. If you slip don't beat yourself up. Just know that it's an addiction and you can only do your best. Also there are hotlines that you can call when you feel the need to smoke or just to talk. But most importantly don't try to force yourself. For this will only make you crave more. Try and stay busy, sleep, eat and stay away from routine things that makes you want a cig.
Also if you ever want to chat or just have Someone that you can fight this addictions over with. Feel free to message me anytime. Good luck sweetheart

the worst time for you to smoke when pregnant is the first trimester because that's when all the major development is happening. I've known people who have success with hard candies and the like. if you are already prone to having stress and anxiety, talk to your doctor about other alternatives they may have. while I don't smoke, I do have severe stress and anxiety issues and can only imagine that I would have a.difficult time getting away from something that made it a little better, if only for a.short time. I'm sorry that I'm not much help!

Get an e cig if absolutely necessary, but I wouldn't risk actual cigarettes. At least with the e cig it's just vapor, and no smoke, even though there's a chance of effects from the nicotine itself.

My dr actually told me that once in awhile is ok. Its better than being over stressed. She said just cut back as much as I can.

Yes ut can affect baby by cutting off oxygen which can cause deformities, brain damage, and puts you at an extreme risk for preterm labor (can be as early as 30wks). Baby can get jaundice from smoking mothers, and have breathing problems. Some babys end up in NICU care for as much as 3 months after birth. Those are just a few risks to baby. You are putting yourself at risk for preeclampsia (high blood pressure). Thats the only risk I can think of right now to you, it mostly could harm your baby. If you want advixe on substitution, not only does water help bc it can replace the need for the repetitice hand motion, it also helps cleanse the nicotine from the body quicker. Good luck to you and your baby momma.

You might find it harder to cut them off again...
ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice around inhalers or gum?
