smoking?

I went from smoking almost a pack every 2 days to having one cigarette every 2 days. I know I need to quit all together. I'm 9 weeks today also. . But have you smoked during pregnancy? I feel so bad when I take a puff of a cigarette that I just put it out right away, but when I'm stressed out or have anxiety I can't help but smoke one.

I'm currently 28 weeks 3 days and before I became pregnant I was smoking for 4 years a pack and a half a day ... I found out I was pregnant at 6 weeks but I didn't quit until 8 weeks.. every time I smoked in those 2 weeks I felt so sad that I would hurt baby so one day I just threw cigs away and honestly I was so excited about baby that I didn't even have time for withdrawals... I don't think I could have ever quit if I weren't pregnant but cold turkey is always the best option. Trust me if you cut back it's good but throwing them out completely you will feel beyond happy!

I smoked a pack a day until I found out, then I smoked a lot still until like 8 weeks because I was stressed and sort of in denial but thank for my morning sickness because it took those cravings right out from under my nose and I quit from that point on (: but yeah, you're doing great! Keep it up!

You're doing awesome. Don't beat yourself up for having a puff now and then. You've made a huge step, just a little way to go. Work on finding effective coping strategies to use when you're stressed.

o and when this pack is gone dont buy another one, if u have them on u ur likely to smoke them, u just gotta keep it in ur head its not just ur lungs and body anymore and that should help:)

I smoked until 11 wks exactly im now 20 wks(tomorrow) and dont even think about them anymore! I smoked a pack about every 2-3 days and kept telling myself i would cut a couple out everyday until i quit completely but it didnt work for me so i just quit cold turkey. The best advice i have for u is carry mint or gum and when u crave a cig have a mint! They worked for me for the 1st few days of cravings! And try to avoid ppl who smoke for a few days, after a few wks the smell actually turns nasty.Good luck hun
