Well, atleast they caught your cervix being short early then! I would wait till maybe next week to start getting up! Maybe after your babyshower!!
Atleast all medics in the ambulances are trained to deliver babies, so if you deliver on the way, your in good hands! =) He may have moved up some from you laying down, but he will definately settle back into place when your up and about!
I hope you make it to atleast 37 weeks!! Good Luck!! =)
they thought i had lost fluid, the doc couldn't find enough to measure (i went to l&d because of a soaked liner). The u/s the next day showed losts of fluid but his head was so low they couldn't measure his head so they did a trans-vaginal, and that;s how they found shortened cervix--- no contractions
Thanks you for your answers...i guess i kinda knew what soft meant but was unsure about the low part, she did say his head was right there (whih i already knew except i thought he may have moved up a bit)
I had been told off bedrest at 34 weeks when released but the Dr's in my town all say 36 cause they can't deliver until then,i would be rushed to the city. In the meantime my family shower was planned for 35 weeks. I will still go cause i know my aunt has a chaise couch i'll be on. My mom thinks i should start getting up a bit more but i had so many tightenings this week when i had sat up for an afternoon that it set of a panic attack
Haha I meant a fast labor!!! ooooops not face labor..
So I saw this earlier and my computer froze, sorry I would have been back sooner...
Anywho, soft and low, MEANS your baby is putting so much pressure down, that the day you come off bedrest, I would think within hours you'll be having labor contractions and your water will break.
Basically, if you were to stand right now, for an hour, you'd probably go into labor! That's why they don't want you up for more than 10 minutes an hour.
With my son, which was my second pregnancy, my cervix was measure short at 21 weeks. I was already dialated. I was fully dialated at 22 weeks. Although, my cervix was soft and low, I managed to make it to 31 weeks before I needed to be put on bedrest, and by then I was pretty much dying from the pressure, I was laying down anyways. I was on meds to stop any contractions from happening, and to make sure I wasn't going into labor even sooner then we hoped. They also told me to stop taking all my meds at 34 weeks, since that is when I had my first child.
Also, I bet if you were to check your cervix yourself, you would barely put your finger in and feel your babies head, that is what the low means, and the soft just means your good to go! So expect a pretty face labor once your off bedrest! =)
And once again, sorry I couldn't get back on here earlier to answer this!!!
Also, when they realized you were measuring short, were you having contractions? Or pain? I can't remember why you had gone in, and have meant to ask!! =)
one again my question is ignored
