sore throat and pregnant...ot but what can i take?

so i woke up with a sore throat.this is seriously the last thing i needed.;(and i have no idea what i can take for it since iam pregnant...
so what can i take to help it go away???

my paperwork says all cough drops.  also gargle warm water and salt, it helps break up some of the nasty in your throat to hopefully feel better soon.

Whenever  I have sore throat, I do warm salt water gargle 2 to 3 times a day and it works for me. But as honey1982 is saying, get it checked just for peace of mind.

warm salt water gargle to soothe the throat and tylenol. i hope its justa sore throat and not something else/ get yourself to your doctor to be checked out. good luck girlie

I also had a nasty sore throat/cough during my 2nd trimester and my doctor told me that I could take Tylenol, Robitusen DM (b/c of the cough), and if I absolutely needed to I could take Sudafed (but only the very basic one that is actually sold behind the pharmacy counter).  What seemed to help a lot with the sore throat were those Vitamin C drops (Halls makes them) or Ludens throat drops... those are safe, as well as cough drops.  If it starts getting really bad though, your OB will probably advise that you go to your regular doctor.  Hope you feel better soon... I've been sick twice so far this pregnancy and I was miserable.

my friend just called me a few days ago about this SAME question.

i had a really bad cold during my second trimester i think and my throat was killing me. i called my doctor and they said all i could really take was tylenol cold. it took away my sore throat a little but didnt really do anything for my cold : ( i dont kno if your doctor will be able to be better help than mine
