stalled labor
on pitocin but not progressing. waiting for doctor to break my water
Similar thing happened to me. Got to hospital at 4. Wasnot progressing after that then I got pit. After 24 hours in labor I only got to a 9 when I got fever. They had do an emergency csection. Its not that bad just keep active and take your pain killers. Good luck! And relax.

I was induced and had a very easy labor. It was a lot easier then my natural labor.
C sections aren't as bad as people make them out to be. If you have one just get up and walk around as much as possible because that will get your digestion going again.
Hang in there everything is going to be okay. You'll probably start progressing after they break your water. Even if you end up having a c-section its not the worse thing in the world.As long as u and baby are healthy. Best wishes .
I was induced with my 1st and Labour stalled and ended in a c section so I wouldn't ever be induced again like said it causes stress for the baby as well
It's a synthetic form of the natural hormone, Oxytocin. Your body produces oxytocin in labor in small amounts and gradually. They give pitocin in large amounts in your IV. It's supposed to shock your system in to labor, but doesn't always work when your body isn't ready.
Dang my phone! Nearly half of all inductions end in c section. Pitkin can also have bad effects on your baby. They push so much of it. It often causes distress in baby. Mix that with the other mess they give you and researchers aren't sure what it does to your baby. Some suspect and are researching if that is where the influx of autism diagnosis are coming from.
Stress may also be working against you. Ask for the meds to be turned down or off when they break your water. Try to get some rest and relax. Relaxing and letting your body do its thing is more effective than any of the meds they can give you.

The pitocin didn't do anything for me until they broke my water. I was at 4cm when I went in to be induced.
Were you already dilated before they put you on the medicine ? Im scheduled for next week if nothing happens by then, I am so scared that something like that happens to me. Keep us posted please ! And good luck ♥ Ftm here& clueless
