I need everyones advice and experience has anyone tried the castor oil if so how did it work for you and did it make you go to labour ?? Im 38 and 4 days
I have sppko to my midwife today she said to try it im walking all the time as well but my mabrane sweep is 4 days after my due date as they dont have appointments and im hydrated as well
Your doctor could also do a membrane sweep, but most doctors won't and shouldn't do them until 40 weeks.
You should read about pros and cons because it can be dangerous. I would talk to your doctor also. They might be able to tell you ways to naturally start labor. Walking, sex etc.
Castor oil is risky because it can cause you to be dehydrated from getting the runs, I was scared to use it because I didn't want to poop during labor.
I took 2 spoon fulls with orange juice around 3pm on a Monday by 8pm I was having contractions I got to the hospital around mid night and had my son T 123pm Tuesday
First day I took 4, and it wasn't working so I took 2 more. Yesterday I took 2
I tried castor oil two days ago and yesterday, now I'm having contractions 10mins apart! Also I highly suggest primrose oil! I was at 1cm for 4 weeks, took it and now I'm 3cm and fully thinned out!
