stoped taking meds
I was in the Hospital with Pneumonia a month ago and I think the meds they gave me thru off my period. I was supposed to start my period on Dec 22nd but didn't. On January 4th I had unprotected sex (I was a virgin). Then on the 9th finally got my period. My question is this: in the hospital I was given LISINOPRIL for my blood pressure. When I realized I might be pregnant I quit taking it. Is it safe to start taking it again or should I wait?
If you got your period than you need to assume you're not pregnant and resume your medication. And as the others have said, please speak with your doctor.
I agree with the above - discuss this with your doctor. If you have a problem with your BP which resulted in you being prescribed medications, you should not just stop taking them without talking to your doctor.
