Hmm, if you're more active then perhaps your muscles being tighter will make you feel the stretch more? I've been feeling really heavy this time too, I think because this baby is hanging about down low and putting pressure on my hips and back. I have problems with my hips (one is too loose and the other too tight) and by the end of both my pregnancies when the relaxin kicked in I was like a disjointed doll and had lots of pain. I have found over the years that the fitter I am and the stronger my muscles, the less pain I get in my hips as they are better supported, its obviously difficult to comment for you, but I would imagine staying active and keeping your muscles toned will probably help in the long run, you may find you have more pain if you dont...however, speak to your doctor or midwife and maybe ask to be referred to a physio who will be able to advise you better. Getting comfy with hip pain is difficult but I used to use a pillow under my bump, one between my legs and often one behind me too cos I kept rolling over and wakening with terrible back pain...so far this time my bump is quite small so is not needing any support yet and my dog lies behind me in bed and keeps me from rolling to my back!! Good Luck!
