stuffy nose

Hello,

I am 19 weeks pregnant and I'm experiencing allergy like symptoms. It'd only my nose. When I wake up, my nose is stuffed up and when I try to blow it, I can see blood on the tissue. It's more like a dry blood pieces.  I live in AZ so the air is pretty dry. Might this be the cause? I read somewhere that pregnancy can cause bloody mucus in my nose too. Please advise. Thank you.

Your body has extra fluid in it right now, I wish I could tell you it'll go away, but I've had a stuffy nose for about 16 weeks now. Try breathe right strips or inhaling the steam from boiling salt water.

i am suffering from the same. Never had any allergy before pregnancy but landed up in same boat once i was pregnant. I read its quite normal, and you can try using "Neti pot" to atleast ease the situation. Here is the link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9i6x6uGm2k.

Since there are no medicines and is natural its quite effective.

Ive been stuffy with lots of regular and bloody mucus throughout my whole pregnancy and im 37wks, you can try nasal spray or Benadryl to see if it helps but it def is normal during pregnancy.

I'm in Texas so I feel your pain. The blood is because your sinuses are irritated because the blowing. It's fine though. And I put a hot rag on my nose to loosen it up. Benadryl is ok to take my doctor says.
