sugar test next month

Hey ladies has anyone taken or remember the taste of the drink they make u take for the sugar test? I heard so many diff stories for example that its gross, couldn't hold it down and others say its fine. everyone is diff but i want to hear diff opinions.....

Well mine was mixed with lemonade n it just tasted bad. and i love lemonade. it wasnt thick n chalky though just very bad. haha but thats good that its not alot i had to drink two cups of the dye for an MRI. it was just awful.

No, haha. Those are thick and chalky and just plain revolting. I drink nothing but water (literally - I hate tea, coffee, pop, and I can't drink dairy) and had very little issue with this. It's not a lot, so that's a bonus as well.

Are these drinks anything Like the drink you have to drink before getting an MRI cause I had an AWFUL time drinking that. I'm very picky with my drinks I only drink some juices and water n tea.

I just took mine yesterday. The first couple sips was okay, like 7up/sprite mixed with a melted white freezer pop. But then it started to taste really flat, with that strong lemon-lime flavor, and it was also like water, but a little bit thicker than water, but not enough to make it difficult to drink. Take little sips, but I was told it had to be drank in 5 minutes. If you want to take big gulps, hold your nose and save them for the end. I felt a little sick after I did that, but try not to throw up or you will have to drink it again and don't eat or drink anything after you drink the liquid.

i had the one hour test that was 50 mil and that was an orang , .however i did not pass that test and they made me go for 3 hourst test that i had do fasting for it for 12 hours. the second one was red and it was 100 mil .did not vomit but made me dizzy.

I had the orange it just tasted like a melted Popsicle or a flat soda... wasn't the best but it wasn't as bad as it was made out to be to me. I had people telling me that I'd get sick, how nasty it was... how it makes you feel shaky and dizzy... none of that happened to me.

I had the orange aswell. To me, it tasted like very sweet orange soda.

Mine was the orange too. The worst part is the last swallow. It seems to get more and more sweet with every swallow, but it really wasn't that bad. Definitely drink it chilled like pp said!

I had the orange drink that just has lots of sugar in it... i didnt find it that bad, and it wasnt a whole lot to drink so i had it gone in no time...

@kelsebby92 - it's a glucose test used to check for gestational diabetes.

I also had the orange drink and mine was very easy to take, however I also had anti-nausea medicines at the same time so I don't know if that makes a difference. Ask for it chilled, it helps a lot. Mine tasted identical to Sunkist.

If they give you the choice take the fruit punch it's not bad, the orange tastes awful.

Mine was red and tasted like fruit punch. Wasn't bad at all. It was really sweet but I just chugged it.

Mine was clear n tasted kinda like sprite...not that bad at all....

Yes I had orange too it was nasty but if u vomit they make u come back and take it over. Now I just seen a girl drinking a red one she said its like a water down strawberry yuck well good luck. With my 4 yr old I failed it and had to go to the hospital and take it again 7 long hrs of giving bloood and drinking that nasty mess so good luck

Mine was orange flavored and not pleasant but in no way bad enough to make me vomit
