supposedly 8 weeks pregnant and no fetus just a sac?

I am supposedly 8 weeks my LMP doctor did first ultrasound at 6 weeks and only saw the fetal sac, said that i was measuring at about a week to two weeks off so about 4 weeks.

Did another ultrasound at 7 weeks pregnant LMP but 5 weeks by measurement, and only saw the fetal sac again, Dr. said it was a worriesome pregnancy and could be a blighted ovum, did my bloodwork to check out my HCG levels 5 days ago and no word back yet, I have another appt. this thursday.... has anyone ever had this happen?

My pregnancy feels normal, no cramping, no bleeding, still the same symptoms as when I was pregnant with my daughter.

Thanks ladies...

You could have ovulated later than you thought. Doctors base of LMP and ovulation being 14 days later, which would be fine if everyone had a 28 day cycle. You ovulate about 14 days before your next period, and that can still be off by a day or two.

I did get my test results back and i am at 101,995 which puts me at 6 to 7 weeks instead of almost 9 weeks. so hopefully it is just because im sooner than later.

I have had the same thing happen but It went all the way to 17 weeks before we found out. I had a placenta, and everything just no baby had formed.

They sent me for a D&C. :(

So i would contact your doc or ask to talk to a nurse to at least get your test results.
