Make sure your up and moving as well as resting. Do both! And I didn't get staples or stitches they glued me up! Lol the swelling was the worst part for me. I looked like big momma in a fat suit I was so swelled. It was painful! And yes be careful with the meds. I didn't even take the full does the entire time they were trying to get me too and when I got home I tried to stop taking them all together I got the shakes, hot and cold flashes. And a Mega migrane. So I had to wean myself off.. it was hell

So taking the pain pills is causing the swelling too? And okay yeah I'm drinking tons of water! I'll buy gas x tomorrow! Hopefully I get back to normal asap. Thanks!

I never had staples with my csection, the swellung can be caused from extreme gas build up along with all the pain meds and not enough fluids to flysh your system. So i suggest lots of water...at least 80ounces a day if not more, pain meds really are a huge cause but try taking gas x it worked wonders for me with water. My csection was a bit traumatizing so my recovery was maybe a bit harder than most. I was okay after a week pretty good at 2 weeks but 6 weeks is when i felt pretty normal! Good luck and congrats!
