Blood clots at that stage generally is not good. Abnormal bleeding alone puts chances of baby surviving at 50 per cent. I'm really sorry, i agree that you've probably miscarried. This is VERY common in the first five weeks of pregnancy, and usually does not indicate that there will be problems in future.

I had a blood test done this morning so hopefully will get the results tomorrow morning. I have noticed there have been clots in my blood. When I had the ultrasound last week the sonographer said that the walls had thickened up nicely & there were 4 little circles (as i was only 4w6d it was too early to say whether all of them were gestational or not) but 1 of the circles was on the outside of the uterus. He said 1 of the circles on the inside had a bright ring around it which he said was good.
Thank you for all your responses :)

I didnt have any symptoms at all during pregnancy! Well besides slight breast tenderness at the very very beginning, but I thought it was just my period. I didnt even feel pregnant till I felt the baby move at like 5 months and was still barely showing. I just think cause you hear of sooo many women having awful symptoms that the ones who have little to no symptoms are rarely talked about. Consider yourself lucky and lets hope it lasts! :)

You're hcg levels need to be checked. your body a lot of times if it's going to be an unhealthy pregnancy/baby will abort it. If your hcg levels are rising then you are fine. If you notice clots in your blood or if it's heavy like a period I would say m/c. Best of luck to you.

So I have been to the drs as i noticed a red tinge to me wee last thursday. She sent me for an ultrasound which showed that I was only 4w6d not 6w4d. The next day i started to experience blood loss. It is now Tuesday & I am still bleeding. Does this mean that i have had a miscarriage?

Thank you for your replies, I feel a bit better now. I just worry because my first pregnancy ended up being a blighted ovum.
I have an ultrasound booked for 12th Dec so I will let you know how I go. Thank you again:)

Try not to worry. Women's symptoms vary and every pregnancy is different. I am 14 weeks today and have not had any of the typical symptoms (like breast tenderness and morning sickness) but baby is fine and healthy! :) Good luck!
