I got mine already, my baby is worth the sore arm. The risk of not getting it and getting whooping cough is too much a risk.
It is all up to the mother and is a personal choice but knowing that I am risking my baby so I did not have to get a shot. Everyone has their reasons for getting or not getting. As a nurse I know the side effects of the shot which really are minimal and the risk of not getting it and what the getting the cough can do to my baby so to me it is a no brainer. It is safer then getting a epidural or me getting iv pain killers for my kidney stones and those are risks taken for my benefit the whooping cough shot is for baby's.
Why would you be nervous ?? You do not get sick from the vaccine at. It's not like the flu shot. I had got mine yesterday when I was discharged from the hospital and so did my hubby. All it does is give you a sore arm for a couple of days that's it. But I suggest you get it. It will benefit you and your baby or anyone that lives with you.
I got mine. And I just had a sore arm
I got one and everything was ok just a sore arm
I got mine because whopping cough is a high rate killer for infants because it swells airways and infants airways are so small already/: but it's all a personal decision!
I've refused it every time.
Hey hope u don't mind me asking but why aren't you guys getting yours love_being_his_mrs and hmph16??? Is there something I should know cause I just got mine on tuesday
I got it 4 days ago and I don't know if I reacted badly but the shot site swelled and was bright red and hot. It was so painful and of course it was my left arm so laying on my left side sucked! It just started going down. Good luck!
I'm not. I think the benefits are worth it :)
