I constantly took naps and was asleep by 9pm my whole first trimester. My second trimester was full of energy and now that I'm in my third trimester I feel sleepy around 4pm everyday which I feel could be normal, due to being so close to my due date! But take all the sleep you can get! It's good for you and the baby!

I'm 5 wks and a nursing assistant constantly lifting and walking. I'm so tired all the time. I am also a smoker and my Dr told me to cut down but not to quit completely. Good luck.

Hi there.  Yes, it gets better.  The second trimester is notoriously much better for energy.  Try not to give into it---  doting on being tired.  That can be hard to do but if you get a good night sleep every night and maybe rest a bit after work and at your lunch hour, you should be fine. Mind over matter.  Eat protein for energy and snack on things like fresh fruit (also an energy boost).

Now, this will sound crazy but it is a known fact that physical exertion such as going for a fast paced walk or doing an exercise class of some sort will give you energy in the long run.  It really does me.  I have no idea why other than to say that it affects your brain chemicals.  And your daily vitamin will hopefully help with energy as well.  :>)

But it is a hard time in pregnancy---  the first 13 weeks and then the end are difficult.  We all go through it.,  Just do the best you can.  good luck
