to tie or not to tie?

here's my latest worry. contraception has failed me in 3 out of 4 of my pregnancies. i love all my children ( and my fetus) and wouldn't be without them but i don't want to get caught out again. It just seems like such a scary thing to do to take away the ability to have any more children ever. I mean, it'd take a really seriously ideal situation for me to want another baby after this one...but what if that happened? I know at the end of the day this is my decision and no one can make it for me but i do need guidance. is there anyone professional i can discuss it with? if so, who's the best person? I'm also worrying if the fact i'm experiencing a threatened miscarriage has had an effect on me seriously considering getting my tubes tied. I've never entertained doing it before now.

split condoms and failed morning after pills with 2 pregnancies, and the depot injection with the other. I'm allergic to the pill and if you're allergic to one, you may well be allergic to most/all and my reaction is to bleed constantly so i don't fancy shopping around with those. people have suggested the milena coil but i'm terrified of it not working. i think i might just need to get brave and take the step and get them tied...well it lol, only have 1 tube and ovary after an ectopic

It is a very scary thought to tie your tubes. After baby #4 for us I had planned on having it done. The more I thought about it, the more I hated the idea of never having the OPTION to have more babies if I choose to. At this point in my life I would have to say that we are done having babies..Hubby has other ideas, lol.like a 5th child!! I would explore other options of bc with your doctor. Do you mind if I asked what bc methodes failed you?? It is ultimatly a very personal decesion(sp?) that only you can make. Also you can get it reversed, it can be expensive and not 100%:(
