trip to the hospital last night..... contractions 4-5 mins apart?
so last night ... (tmi) i was feeling especielly umm damp down there and i started to get worried as it seemed more than just usual discharge. so i looked up water breaking signs and foudn out tthat i could be slowly leaking. so i freaked and went to the hospital......
come to find out im not leaking but they did keep me for an hour and moniter me.
the nurse, a really happy person who obviously loved her job told me that i was having contractions every four to five minutes, which surprised me because i wasnt even feeling them!
she left the room and monitered me for 40 minutes more and during that time i did start getting some really painful contractions that i could see on the moniter. i am not sure if i could feel them worse because of the position the had me on the bed... laying on my freaking back.... or just because they decided to make me hurt!
she checked me again and said i was still 3 cm dilated and 50% effaced and then said it was ok for me to go home...
i asked if i shouldnt be kept because my contraction s were so close together and she told me no, because i wasnt feeling them all, and to not come in again untill i was having ones i felt that were taking my breath away, or if my water actually broke.
i came home and passed out on the couch with my boyfriend cause i was still slightly freaked out.
He kept waking me up telling me he could actually see my stomach getting super hard and pushing up and wondering if i was going into labor.... i couldnt feel any of this!
i finally laid down in bed and slept decent, ya know besides many wakenings to ahve to pee.
but when i woke up this morning ive had diaeraa(sp?) and a few minor contractions and once again... im way damper down there than usual!
i think my girl is going to show up early, im trying to take it easy but i really need a shower, and im really nervous the painful contractions will start up again and send me on the 40 minute drive to my hospital.... any comments or ideas on any of this ladies?

I know the feeling on being poor lol. I told my doc I refuse to go in unless it is a reg. OB appointment or if my water breaks...or Im having contractions so bad I cant walk, talk or breathe lol. I have 100 bucks in my account to get me till the 1st, and I bet this baby will be here by then.
well there is a closer hospital liek 5 minutes away, but they told me if i was to go in labor they woudlnt let me leave to go to the one where my doctors at, i already had a birth at the local hopsital and seriously there idiots.... so if it gets bad ill go to the one far away and hope its teh real thing because untill the 13th i have enough gas to get up there just once, and i still ahve an ob appoitnment to go to up there on wed.
i hate being poor its making me angry lol!

I'm no pro but that would freak me out I would want to just stay at the hospital sounds to me like your in labor and they should be monitering you. If your that far away from the hospital I would definately not want to leave there.........so I would go back
well, if you really want a shower, and you're worried about falling or not wanting to stand for so long, try this.....turn on the shower head, and sit down....or if you have a lawn chair, use it.....you can stand to get the important parts, but won't have to worry about falling or anything....and it works even better if you have a shower head that is detachable, with a hose.....also, the steam may help with any back pain you're having......
if you have the gas, i'd say if you start leaking more, or contractions start again, then go back......if he could see the contractions, i imagine they're there lol....you could always call your dr, rather than going to the er and going home again.....let him know how far away you are, and esp. that bf could see your stomach tightening and such.....maybe he could call the hospital and ask that you be monitored longer, that way, he knows you're there, and if you actually go into labor, he's already set to be there.....
