don't get worried about the blood tests it's normal, even if it's early. I don't personally know of any twin websites but google twin websites and you should find something. Make sure you type something like twin pregnancy or something. otherwise youll get alot of trash.

haha joy, you and I answered at the same time or just about, and with almost the same answer. :)
They can't know 100% but they can see certain things that may stand out to them. Most of the time they don't know until baby is born and they can check out their palate and eyes (those are the strongest indicators of DS).
A blurry u/s pic doesn't mean a thing. And 9 weeks is too early to determine a congenital disorder such as DS.
Ok, they cant tell %100 from a u/s. I KNOW this from my doctor. What they do is a measurement test to see if there's a chance the baby may have it. Usually around week 12-14. Then if there's a good enough chance they'll proceed with an amnio and bloodwork. BTW I had an amnio thursday and it isn't that bad. All was fine.
Yes, a doctor can definitely tell from an ultrasound if a bub has downs syndrome. They measure the bubs head, and it doesn't matter if it is blurry to you. They continue the session until they have a clear shot to measure from. If the pic came out blurry don't worry, it is much clearer on the screen, and he may have just picked a bad moment to take a shot. If he had any doubts, he would re-measure...
