ultrasound update...opinion please

So i had my ultrasound today and i should be 6w5d but sac only measured 5w2d. Tech said there was tissue seen in the sac. Has anyone else had this happen and everything be ok? Tech also said since dates are with in a week off its normal?

Well its really hard not to worry with my history. Maybe im wrong but i was thinking if the us tech based if off a 28 day cycle when im 31 days and i o'd 4 days late then 5w2d would be right? I just pray all goes well with this one!

I had my first u/s at 8 weeks by mlp..but the u/s showed I was 7 weeks 2 days so my due date change..but when I went to my 12 weeks scan the u/s showed I was 12 weeks 3 days..so that mean when I had  the first u/s I wasnt 5 days off like the sono showed.i was really 8 weeks..
Dont worry when you go back in two weeks everything will be just fine..=)

since my miscarriage my cycles have been long....  Well weird i should say... Mine were 6 weeks in between mc and first cycle.. then 32 days then 27 then 37 days long.

I was tracking my ovulation and always felt i ovulated around the 18-19 CD..

When my doctor calculated my due date he used a 30 day cycle instead of 28.. but I knew my cycles were more on average closer to 32 since the mc anyways... Well when i had my ultrasound, I was only one day off... but if I would have been off by several if i would have used a 28 as a marker...

They grow differently..  Next time, you might be measuring ahead of what you would expect based on this ultrasound..

No it would add up to you being 6 weeks 1 day. However I had lots of repeat ultrasound with my first and one week she was measuring 6 weeks and then the next week (a full 8 days later) she was only measuring 6w3d instead of 7w1d and they told me that in early pregnancy ultrasounds can be up to a week off. She is now 3 1/2.

The tech said he is going to recommend a repeat ultrasound in 2 weeks. Ever since my last mc my cycle has gone to 30-31 days long. My lmp was 3-9 and i had light cramps on 3-23 and one painful cramp the night of 3-27. So if i o'd on 3-27 would that add up to me being 5w2d?

It's very possible you ovulated late. I'm sure they will be scheduling another u/s soon enough. I would wait at least another week or two at this point.

I agree with Michele.  If you O late, your LMP wouldn't be a good indication of how far you really are.  I am a late O'er as well, so my dates would be off too.

This is not uncommon.  Your dates could be off; especially if they are going by your LMP and you ovulated late that month.  Are they going to schedule you another ultrasound?  I would ask for one if not.  But if you are only measuring 5w2d, I would wait at least 2 weeks to get another one.  I have been able to see my babies by 6 weeks, but everyone is different.  It also depends on the machine they are using, etc.
