I was told to not have your arms over your head lots. My mom did with me and my brother an sister we all had it around ours
I heard it is normal for the umbilical cord being wrapped around the babies neck. It's only concerning if it is causing baby to be distressed. That what's my midwife and doula said.
No way to prevent it. I had mine wrappes 5 times. If babystopps moving (when he or she is uaually active) then theres cause to worry. But if baby is moving rregularly your fine.
thanks a lot for all to giving me right answer
You CAN lift your arms up all you want. I was told like 2 weeks ago to do it for your stomach lol. It won't cause anything bad. I would avoid like jumping on a trampoline for shaking the baby, tearing something or possibly yanking baby into a loop in the cord? But I think there's not really much you can do and it's not very common. If you're tracking kicks, and movement slows or stops, go in but otherwise you're fine. :)
Reaching does not cause the umbilical cord to wrap around the baby neck that is a myth my doctor has said its the most silliest myth she ever heard n secondly there's no way to prevent this its just something that happens from the baby moving around during labor my sis n law baby had it wrapped twice around his neck longs u listen to the doctor they will monitor the baby during labor but don't stress about it now if it happens wait then doctor will know exactly wat to do
With my brother his cord was wrapped around his neck 2 times
When she goes into Labor they will monitor your baby's heart rate and if it starts going down they may end up doing a emergency c section but with my brother they didn't , he was stable enough to be pushed out . My suggestion is to talk to your doctor about your concerns they will tell you what they can do if that happens .
The only things I've been told is to avoid sleeping on your back try to sleep on the left side and also not to raise her hands above her head trying to reach for something. And don't stress too much that's not good for her or the baby. Good luck
