upper back/chest pains

the first time this happened was on a plane last month when I was ~28 weeks....and has happened here and there usually in the evening. But my upper back and chest get super tight and achy. Could this be b/c organs pushing up? I took an aspirin but not helping - just super uncomfy. I know they sometimes associate low back pain with pre-term labor - but what is up with the upper back (shoulder blade area) and chest?

Your symptoms sound like what I went through on Monday.  I went to the ER and they told me it was an attack of pluerisy(sp).  I highly recommend that you put a call into your doctor and see what he has to say.  If it gets too bad, go to the ER.  Chest pains are nothing to mess around with.  Good luck and please keep us posted.

You might have gallstones. I have them and that's the kind of pain I get too. Sometimes it lasts all day; sometimes just for a while. At its worst, it got unbearable and went away when I threw up. You should tell your doctor and perhaps they can do an ultrasound to outrule gallstones. I hope it's not that, but it's better to know, right? Good luck!
