In California 80% of the whooping cough cases were vaccinated. And your body has just as much of a chance fighting of diseases if taken care of properly and not run into the ground by over use of pharmaceutical and poor diet. And trust me I do do things to aid my body in fighting diseases, it's not completely helpless.

The pros outweigh the cons. Most daycare providers wont watch your child if they dont have up to date vaccination

Look up whopping cough out break in the us....I refuse to let anyone who hasn't been vaccinated near me or my children ....vaccinces arent to prevent diseases its to help your body fight off the diseases and over time eradicate them like polio...yes there are good and bad on both but honestly if you gave your baby pretuses (whooping cough) because you didn't vaccinate yourself before baby how would you feel?? Vaccines give our body the chance of fighting diseases that would other wise run rampid through our bodies...but all these people who don't vaccinate when they get severely sick expect a doctor to fix them and make them better yet they won't do the simple things to help their bodies fight off sicknesses and diseases....

Also, I have seen the adverse effects of vaccines. And Dr's dont always admit when something is cause by a vaccine. It would be like the president of a vaccine company saying that what they are selling is dangerous, no good business man would do that. So like a said before do a lot of research and decide what you feel is best

Vaccines are not 100% preventative, even those who are vaccinated can get sick along with the other risk. Even if you don't have a severe reaction there is still havoc on your system. Multiple strains of diseases injected at once with tons of unhealthy additives. There are other ways to prevent and treat, Dr's have only been taught one way of doing things. Also, the senior scientist at the CDC just came forward to say that the test on the connection between the MMR vaccines and autism that her and 3 other Dr's worked on in 2004 was a fraud. Do some research on both sides. The government has paid out millions of dollars to vaccine victims. Severe side effects are not some fluke thing, they are real. It is a very personal decision. Vaccinated kids are just as likely to carry and transmit disease as the unvaccinated. There is a lot on this topic from a lot of different views and authorities. Research and choose carefully.

If your family or you have had no adverse effects with vaccinations i say do it. The chance is higher that your child will be fine. Its like saying you wont wear tampons because theres a chance of getting toxic shock syndrome whih is very serious. The majority of women still wear tampons.

The vaccine for chicken pox is extremely new in my country not many people know about it.
Anyway there was an outbreak of chicken pox... schools crèches everywhere. ..
My daughter 5yrs old she got it and we thought oh its a common childhood illness..
she ended up in hospital twice and had the pox for no exaggeration 4weeks! She didn't scratch (spd stopped her feeling it) but they got infected and she's still marked now and that was end of june&july... plus chicken pox were dangerous to me and my unborn as I never had them.

one injection could have saved all the issue.

Also my sister refused the swine flu injection because she didn't trust it...
her little guy ended up in the icu of the children's hospital with swine flu.
Being special needs he was at even higher risk and again Could have been prevented.

I will definitely get my kids vaccinated.  I'd advise anyone to vaccinate.

Ya when people start out with "a lady told me" don't listen! Listen to your doctors and the people that know what they are talking about I have never seen a child die from shots I have however seen a child suffer from whooping cough because his mother refused to vaccinate him

I never understood why people think vaccines are bad honestly. I feel like it'd be best to vaccinate personally.

(Stupid fat fingers posted too soon) but its also about just as likely that your child will be struck by lightening. A lot of people are against certain immunizations because the diseases haven't been prevalent in the US, however with increased travel and immigration its very likely that these diseases (like polio, which is currently rampant in India) will return to the US.

In my opinion there are no con's to getting your child their immunizations. I am a PEDs nurse and have seen kids hospitalized for things that could've been prevented by vaccination. Is there a chance of a serious reaction from vaccines, yes..but

I couldn't bare the thought of my child getting sick because I didn't vaccinate. It was really hard having my baby in the hospital for a week just because of a uti, it would have been horrible if it was something more serious or if he picked up something while he was there. My son hasn't had any reactions. I'll be getting this one vaccinated too.

Statistically it has more pros then cons. Also it's not only your child your protecting but if you don't vaccinate and your child gets it potentially it could affect others. Seems like a winner to me.
