vbac after two c section?

posted this question a few days ago and thanx for answers but really would want to know the real risks that a vbac could expose me and my baby to;please re-read and give me all the info u might know coz i can hardly sleep at night!!!! tx
i am 24 and have two daughters; 4 years old and two years old both born by c section. just foud out i am expecting another baby and would be thrilled if i could give bitrh naturally.
i heard there we risks but would like to have several opinions about how severe they really are and would like to know the chances of havinh a succesful vbac;

I completely understand the way you feel.....like I said I have had 2 csections and am having my third.   When I sit back and thinbk about the fact that I just CANT have my babies naturally and that I will NEVER experience chilod birth the way it wasintended I do get upset about it.  I feel like there is something I am missing out on.  However, since its something we really cant change, we shouldnt dwell on it and let it get us down, ya know?  No matter how we will do it, we will still end up with a beautiful healthy baby to hold, and that is def. the most important part.....besides, we do get one tiny perk that regular deliveries dont get....we get to know ahead of time when we will have our babies, and have a date to actually look forward to and plan for....good luck!!!!

reading all this definately makes me want to go for a c section coz i couldnt live with myself if my baby died because of what I wanted
however i live the fact that i cant give birth naturally quite badly and i feel like half a woman really.........most my relatives and friends gave birth naturally and i feel inferior......is this normal?

Honestly... Normal worries with VBAC are mainly Uterine Rupture, which can be caused by the mom contracting too hard and the scar not being strong enough. In the case that that happens the baby can be lost, the mom can be lost, or there can be physical and mental disabilities to the baby due to the blood loss and time it takes to open the mom up.

That's why when most women have VBAC they're CLOSELY monitored, and sometimes monitors are put inside the mom to monitor strength of contractions. my mom had her VBAC after 3 Csections.

Her doctor wouldn't even do a repeat Csection because he believed in VBAC (this was 15yrs ago. lol)

You need to make sure when you had your prior csections that your uterus was cut left to right not up and down. Sometimes they may cut the skin one way and the uterus the other. As long as you were given a bikini cut then things are fairly safe. But if you were given the up and down cut then it is VERY UNWISE to try for VBAC.

I'm having a csection w my son here in a few weeks and I'll be going for VBAC with my next one.

So the things it all depends on? :  Which way your uterus was cut during csections,
Your doctor,
and how closely you are monitored during your labor.

Just wanted to ad when I said "vbac is really not safe" thats meant after 2 c-sections....I wasnt talking about having a vbac after 1 csection

I am set to have my thrid c-section in a month,  Whiloe the idea of a vbac may sound appealing, it is really really not safe at all.  My dr. has said that I shouldnt even be allowed to labor to long for fear of a uterine rupture let alone a full delivery.  i know that uterine rupture is SERIOUS business and could kill me AND the baby...thats def. not a risk I am willing to take....

no drs around here will do them after one. to much of a risk to you and the baby.

I'm sorry--all I know is my doctor wouldn't do a VBAC after the 2nd c-section.  The risk of uterine rupture is greater than after just one c-section.  I don't know how much, but I think it's 1 in 100 after just one.  And that may sound like not very high risk, but it was too high for me!  1 in 100 is SOMEbody and I didn't want it to be me.:)
