i just dont know what to expect or anything as its my first. dont think i would know if my waters went.  and i wouldnt know about mucus plug either... its all a lil daunting really.
how will waters ruin whatever? can put it in wash cant you ? lol

Your water will ruin whatever furniture it breaks on. At the end we had the sofa cushions wrapped in garbage bags and I slept there bc it was comfy anyway.

Yes she was very healthy! She was 6lbs 5oz. And I didn't have odors with either the mucus plug or my water. The mucus plug was like a brownish color, and the water was clear and warm. Felt like I was peeing on myself but I knew I wasn't because I couldn't control it lol

I losmy mucus plug around 36 weeks. On the morning I was supposed to go to my 38 week appointment my water broke around 3 am. I had just taken a shower and layed down for bed, and it just started rushing out. 9 hours later my daughter was here!

ahh thank you... just having a discussion with my partner and if he would be cross if my waters broke while we were in bed. he said if it was wee yeh cos it stinks and just wondered if waters had any odour. lol. so i mean is there any particular time that your waters can break?

The nurses at the hospital and my doctor said it should smell kind of like semen. I personally had my water broken with my son though and never got to smell it (because that would have been mildly weird to ask lol)

I was told at my last Appointment that it should not smell like pee and it could smell kinda like sex but not a lot.. whatever that means lol

When mine broke I didn't smell anything. It broke and I felt like I was peeing on myself w/o being ableto control it but it was clear and warm.. it also leaked for sat least 30 minutes! Hope this helps :)
