weight gain

I was on a diet before I got pregnant and I lost like 25 pounds in a year, not a lot. I am 5'3". I weighed 201 when I got pregnant. I am 15 weeks and I now weigh 208. I am so scared I'm gonna look like a cow. Is there something I can do to not look like a cow or not gain so much weight?

I am in the same situation I lost 25lbs before I got pregnant. Now am pregnant again. With my first pregnancy I gained 60lbs, but I ate whatever I wanted. With this pregnancy Im eating healthier, but am 27wks and already gained 26lbs. It didn't help that I was placed On bed rest my first trimester. I guess we were just programed this way. Best of luck to you.

There is some weight u can't avoid during pregnancy, extra blood volume, placenta, bday, amniotic fluids. Just be aware. It's not fat your gaining! Hope it helps :-)

you just have to remember that it isn't you gaining the weight it is the baby.   Continue to eat a healthy diet and you should be fine.

I think if you eat healthy and light exercise you will be fine. After the baby is born you can start to lose the weight. I benefit from breastfeeding with my first son and my stomach was flat again. And when the doctor gives you the ok to exercise 6 weeks after I would go for it. Gaining weight with pregnancy is all for a good cause you will be just fine.

I've had 2 others in between my first n this one and both of those I gained around 30 lbs..hoping to keep my weight in check this time too!! But I'm finding it really hard...I'm craving lots of bad stuff!! Lol..=) I try walking but we live at the top of a hill and coming back up our drive is starting to kill me!! Good luck hun.!!

Just eat healthy. Try not to stress to much over it because you are gaining for baby. Talk to your doctor about it but you should be able to walk and do other light exercises!
