weird ob?

I went to my ob on friday and this has been eating me alive for days..... she told me that I need to watch my eating? I've gained 15 lbs since pre pregnancy but 7 of them in the last four weeks =/ .... I dont really understand considering I don't even eat junk food (besides my weekly small bag of sour patch kids on Friday's) my portions have been the same and i snack on veggies and fruit mostly... I actually feel horrible about all of this, I struggled with eating problems about 7 years ago and this just made me feel like.... bad... im now freaking out about every little thing I'm eating which I dont think is healthy either, I had to sit down with the hunby after my appointment because I honestly felt this could turn into an issue again and I think it has, I know I have to eat, I have been eating but the idea of food now just makes me feel sick or depressed. My ob is ok I guess, I've had issues where I would ask a question and she'd reply with 'well... you've done this before....' and then not answer? I guess at this point I'm just trying to make some type of excuse for myself =/ anybody else have a weight focused ob?.... she also told me no more avocados =( I love avocados..... =(

a dr. is suppose to watch you of course, but there are ways to say things especially to people growing a big belly. my dr. told me I was "a little on the fat side" then told me "but I'm not concerned about it" well then why tell me that? especially in such manner. I wanted to kill him.  and ive been depressed about weight ever since. however I did change, I started walking daily, and doing cardio and eating better. It's hard but I have gained 4 pounds in the last month and a half. I'm 35+1 weeks along..still depressed about my weight though

^ 4pounds is nothing!  Keep in in mind that the baby is still growing, keep it up and stay on track

Thanks for the extra support ladies =) yeah all my testing came back normal, calcium was a little low but she attributes that to the macrobid I was on for uti. I was so happy for this little baby bump since I didn't get one at all with my first but then it was just like 'ahhh am I doing something wrong?!' Being 6 ft with tons of space between the ribs and pelvis really has downfalls when pregnant lol

I work qith a ob that is very strict on gaining lotsof weight while pregnant, it may sound rude but its his job to take care of you during your pregnancy and don't want any unnecessary complications just by gaining too much weight. The max you should be gaining a month is 5pounds a month now that your in your 30weeks. They do this so you wont get left with extra weight after delivery.  Its rude yes i know but itsthe blunt truth. Cut down on starches  and any type of bread or just count your calories, if your still gaining alot of weight nd managing what you eat then my guess is you might just be gaining pregnancy weight

I dont think 15lbs is at all outrageous for 30w. Average for 40w is 30lbs. I think you will be just fine. As long as you didn't test positive for GD I dont see anything wrong with that.

No I didn't mention it to her at all, guess I never really thought to since it was so long ago and I thought I was over it.... I'm 30 weeks.

Does she know that you have previously struggled with your eating? Also how far along are you? Keep your head up dear, and don't let yourself fall back down that path.
